Welcome to China Report's Digital Introduction to the Extended Arm Great Wall of China, North outside of JiaYuGuan in Gansu Province.
Actually there turned out to be TWO reconstructed sections of wall--with separate admission fees--running up into the rocky hills on either side of a canyon. I hiked up both walls for the views of the desert and oasis, but on the second wall a photographer shanghaied me into posing on a Bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus--two humped) with the wall in the background.
