The National Theatre Dome now stands behind the Great Hall of the Peoples , reflecting the energy and hopeful spirit of the "new" City of Beijing awaiting the 2008 Olympics and it's true introduction to the World Stage. Befittingly, the Jewel of China's Classical music will now be made a Central showpiece of this new and modern Olympic City.

Soon to be relocated to the National Theatre Dome , The Beijing Concert Hall has been the number 1 instute for Classical Music in the country of China ever since the then new communist governement  took over Beijing's Central Cinema in 1950. The building , ideally located near the new CP Leaderships' compound ZhongNanHai and just West of it's new rubberstamp Parliament ( TiananMen Square with buildings and monuments was constructed around the same Time )
was renovated into Beijing's First official Concert Hall, all with the aim to promote New (= Communist ) China's music and to have a concert hall for official occasions, visits by foreign dignitaries and the Party Elite. In earlier years the Communist Leaders Mao and Zhou Enlai had entertained the american Dixie Mission and other Foreign Governemental envoys at their guerilla headquarters of Yanan in Shanxi and this tradition was continued, although with much greater Grandeur. As such The concert Hall is home the China National Symphonic Orchestra, the China Opera Symphony Orchestra, the China Traditional Music Ensemble , the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe and many others. A delight of orchestral and chamber music concerts is frequently performed here, combining musics of Oriental, Western, classic and modern Styles. All music is performed at the highest levels possible giving the listener and spectator a rare taste of the best Chinese performers.
China's leaders have always been lovers of classical music - chinese and other - and are regular customers.  and more.
